As the school festival begins, Izuku faces off against Gentle Criminal, who proves an even match with his Elasticity Quirk. Using ranged attacks, he is able to subdue the two villains. However, La Brava user her Love Quirk to temporarily strengthen Gentle, who nearly overwhelms Izuku. Izuku is determined to save the festival, especially Eri's heart, and continues fighting Gentle, winning as La Brava's Quirk expires. As Izuku apprehends them and Hound Dog catches their sent, Gentle sends Izuku away, surrendering to him and Ectoplasm in an attempt to cover for La Brava.
