As a result of Eustace's cruelty, an angry Shirley lays a rain/thunder cloud curse upon him. Courage and his owners go to New York City for Muriel to perform at Radio City Music Hall in Rockefeller Center. A giant cockroach named Schwick (short for "Buschwick") offers to let them stay at his place until the show. Schwick forces Courage to fetch an "evil package" for him, or he will release his deadly pet to devour Muriel.
