A Chinese empress wants to grind up Muriel's bones. Courage wants to save Muriel, but he must pass through a series of strange deadly tests first. Eustace berates Muriel, who has had enough of him for not listening to her, and she decides not to talk ever again. Courage visits Shirley and asks her if she can make her talk again.
