Taichi, Yamato, Koushiro, and Takeru are captured by Millenniumon’s servant Sephirotmon. Inside, the boys and their partner Digimon encounter replicas of their previously defeated foes, including Devimon, who accuses Angemon of being weak for allying himself with the Chosen Children. Angemon soon discovers that Devimon is actually a part of himself that splintered off into a separate being during his moment of despair in the event that took place at the end of the ancient war, after awakening from being nearly corrupted by a swamp of dark miasma. Outside, Tailmon surmises that Sephirotmon is gathering data to create a new body for Millenniumon...
