Joe and his hot spring buddies head south for warmer waters after the hot springs dry up. They meet up with Mimi and her friends from the Digimon School on a Blimpmon. Suddenly, they are attacked by a pirate ship captained by Olegmon, who demands food in exchange for not attacking the ship. Mimi, acting for Joe, refuses and Olegmon opens fire on the unarmed Blimpmon. In the affray, Joe, Gomamon and ShogunGekomon are thrown off Blimpmon and are captured by Olegmon. After escaping, Joe and Gomamon learn from one of the starving crew mates that they are on this ship after their island home became uninhabitable...
