Hiro and Gammamon investigate rumors of a mummy who is kidnapping humans nightly and encounter the culprit Mummymon, who believes he is saving the kidnapped people. While Gammamon digivolves into BetelGammamon during the fight, it ends peacefully when Hiro convinces Mummymon that humans are different from Digimon and modernize his way of helping people. Later, Hiro and Gammamon see Ruli being followed by Angoramon.
