Goten and Trunks try to join, but they are denied by Vegeta because their use of fusion is illegal. The group finds Piccolo training with Gohan, recruiting him as their final member. Gohan considers joining the team, but he cannot participate due to a business meeting on the day of the tournament. Beerus and the others think back over recent events. Beerus and Whis contemplate the intentions behind Champa's plans as well as their own interests in Goku, recapping from their first encounter with the Saiyan to Frieza's demise.
