In the past, Veronica attempts to assassinate Ray Dawn, the man responsible for Suna's destruction, but fails when he uses his Fairy against her. In the present, Veronica attacks Jonathan, but has difficulty getting past his Fairy, having been struck a glancing blow and become tainted by the same poison that prevents her from summoning her fairy. Not wanting to leave Veronica to do all the fighting, Marlya forces her fairy to appear and it launches a fire attack at Jonathan, trapping him and allowing Marlya and Veronica to escape the church...
