When Shigure asks Tohru about her financial situation, she evades the question, causing the Sohmas to realize that she used all her part-time earnings from the previous month buying Valentines chocolates for them. As she bathes, Momiji compares her to a traveler in a story who was duped into giving everything away to strangers, and eventually eaten by demons taking advantage of her kindness...
