The school bells suddenly break and the headmaster informs them that not even Yūma can fix the bells. While practicing the Rangula spell, Akari informs Ruby and Labra that she decided not to aim for the Jewel Star because she feels it is impossible for her. Akari runs into a girl named Judy who is also practicing the Rangula spell after messing up, and later learns that she has been given the duty of ringing the school bells. Although not confident at first, she decides to give it a try and successfully fixes the bells. Akari learns that Judy is the student who won the title of Jewel Star years ago, and she decides to aim for the Jewel Star herself.
