Hajime is invited by the pop idol Reika Hayami to her father's Tarot Villa in the snowy mountains to where she has retreated and refuses to see anyone. Coincidentally, a skier called Kenji Tsuji seeks shelter after returning late and finding the cable car switched off. In the villa is a framed panel of tarot cards and Reika's father explains that the former owner had an interest in tarot cards, so he framed them as a feature.
