Moritz is in a bad way: after his capture, Count Arkas put him in chains. Meanwhile, Arkas is brooding over a plan to prevent Sissi and Franz from getting married. Even Chattermouth, the parrot of Schloss Possenhofen, is included in the sinister deliberations.
