Seeing as the woman found near Point K, Marlene, is ill, Rand tries to find cacti to extract water from and give to her. However, he falls into a cavern and inhales the Flower of Life spores. A subsequent dream gives him insights into the Invid's goals behind conquering Earth. (This episode is a clip show presented as a long dream sequence.)
