His daughter Sono reports it to Chief Saheiji but Nishijinya is tight-lipped about the incident until Sono is kidnapped. Nishijinya reveals that 20 years ago he was a smuggler with two men called Koshuya and Red Cat in Nagasaki. After becoming successful but risked being caught, they decided to split the money, but Red Cat was poisoned, leaving only Nishijinya and Koshuya.
