Since there is no exit, the Saints decide to go through the hole, shortly after Hyoga arrives in time to join them. As they pass through a narrow passage, the roof above them tries to crush them. Shiryu stays behind and allows his friends to go through. He then destroys the rock and is seemingly crushed. As the Saints move on, they fall into a cavern. Suddenly it gets flooded and Hyoga stays behind to stop the flood. However, he gets caught up in it and is knocked out cold...
