When Sophie shares that she's afraid of monsters living in her closet, Bennett callously dismisses her fear rather than offering to help. Old Bennett goes back in time to his younger self to correct this mistake and to help Bennett reconcile with Sophie and make positive changes to Bennett's character. The Bennetts' plans go awry when they invent a device to block all of Sophie's fears.
