Master Glark then summons an emergency meeting where his speech motivates the legislative council and forces with his trump cards, the mechanical archaisms and Lavian Winslet, the Hero's granddaughter. Lavi holds her pride uphigh to protect her homeland, but crosses path with Rogan, who is abhorrent against Glark's unexpected ambition beneath his speech.
