With midterms looming, Futaro tries to encourage Itsuki and Nino to join his tutoring sessions, but with no success (though Itsuki studies hard on her own). After skipping out on parfaits, Futaro learns through a phone call with the quintuplets father, Maruo, that he will be fired if even a single one of them fails their exam. He argues with Itsuki, with both of them declaring that they'll never work together again (something he quickly regrets)...
