The Monarch and Dr. Girlfriend have a bitter breakup, and she returns to her former lover Phantom Limb. When The Monarch drunkenly attempts to win her back, Phantom Limb frames him for the murder of a police officer and The Monarch goes to trial. Phantom Limb, along with agents from the Guild of Calamitous Intent, ensures that The Monarch is found guilty and sent to prison, which upsets Dr. Girlfriend.
