After his ditch incident, Gordon is forced to pull trucks as punishment. Thomas enjoys teasing him about it much to Annie and Clarabel's dismay, but while working at the lead mines shunting trucks, he falls into one after he takes no notice of a "Danger" sign. Gordon, now feeling sorry for Thomas, pulls him out.
