Kuga reports back to the Earth Cave, where they discuss the method to defeat the guardians. That is, destroying their control crystal. Manriki is moved by Kuga's work, but he's upset that both Kuga and Raiga are away from base now (Raiga seemingly investigating some other part of Japan.) Meanwhile, Kakeru and Saber are travelling aimlessly. Kakeru questions whether Saber intends to go anywhere in particular, but Saber states that he just wants to follow Kakeru now...
