Rodimus is feeling the pressures of leadership. But when he is attacked by the Decepticons, they steal the Matrix of Leadership. As a result, he reverts to carefree Hot Rod once again. As Hot Rod, he does not want the Matrix back. Eventually, Hot Rod will learn to accept his obligation if he is to defeat a mutated Scourge to regain the Matrix.
