It is during this ordeal that Zero's motives are revealed. Meanwhile, Sesshōmaru goes to Kohaku and Setsuna sets out to the Sacred Tree of Ages, where she meets the weakened Rin for the first time since the Dream Butterfly was destroyed and started the re-progression the silver-scale curse upon her body quickly. Rin informs Setsuna that cutting the thread of fate will not lift the curse, unless she saves Zero from herself...
