Madoka makes them an offer, gather 100 coins for him then he will use the power to grant their wishes, though first one of them must die as revenge for Morita's injuries, excluding Clair as he can sense she is a ruthless killer and therefore too valuable. Clair lays out the options, either they all die fighting or one of them dies and the rest live with the guilt. Miku, a girl who can turn invisible, suggests she assassinate Madoka in his human form, but this is deemed too risky. Clair comes up with an escape plan and has Isao grow thousands of Oleander plants. Clair also tries to send Shuichi away, believing he is too kind to do what is necessary, but he insists on helping...
