During a special mission to rescue the survivors of a sunken ship, Minamoto and Kaoru are left behind by themselves when Minamoto is put under Kyösuke's hypnotic suggestion once more. When Kaoru gets herself in critical condition for using her powers for too long, Kyösuke appears before Minamoto offering him aid, with the intention of putting him permanently under his control.
